(Saturday - December 19, 2020) - Denise A. Vicenzi, age 52, of Ishpeming, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, at The Lighthouse of Ishpeming.

Denise was born June 22, 1968 in West Branch, Michigan, the daughter of Dennis Vicenzi and the late Pauline "Polly" (Wilcox) Vicenzi. She attended the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District, and was employed at Trico Opportunities, Inc. in Kingsford for several years. Denise loved music, and was a huge KISS, Davey Jones of The Monkees, Michael Jackson, and Jon Bon Jovi fan. She was an avid fan of the Iron Mountain Mountaineers, especially Lee Formolo, and Gabe Leonard, the Detroit Red Wings, Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR, primarily race car driver Tony Stewart. Denise enjoyed her collection of Barbie Dolls along with life long friend Kathy Morin, being at camp, dancing, swimming, bowling, watching the Golden Girls, and spending time with her family & friends. She will be most remembered for her sweet soul, ability to laugh, forgive, love big and purely, and for being a bright light and special part in the life of everyone she met. An angel she will always be.

She is survived by her father, Dennis; a brother, Christopher Vicenzi of Iron Mountain; a sister, Danielle Vicenzi of Escanaba; nieces and nephews; Lexi, Jaden, Adrian, and Bella Vicenzi; favorite uncle Paul Vicenzi of Ishpeming, and auntie Andrea McQuown of Iron River, and other aunts, several cousins, and extended family members.

In addition to her mother, Denise was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Andrew & Eda Vicenzi, and maternal grandparents, Lyle & Vera Wilcox.

Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at The Lighthouse of Ishpeming, the Ontario House in Marquette, and UP Home Health & Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Denise over the years.
