I feel most obituaries are mini biographies. I want mine to
reflect my image of life.
My relations and
friends know who they are.
Some were close, some afar.
need to list each by name.
Instead, contemplate on how we all
lived life's game.
Having reached the state of great
To you, I impart, what I understood.
isn't a level playing field, some have handicaps
To help, all can
share their comfortable laps.
Did we play God's game, by giving?
Or were we just living.
Did we follow His rules, or not?
Did we do as we wanted, or as we were taught.
It isn't who
one became in their life
It is how one handled strife.
when I'm dead and cremated
Think of how, to you, I related.
To the following, say nay, if you must
Your honesty I will
Was I helpful and courteously shy?
Yet with a
twinkle of mischief in my eye.
Did I exude honesty and trust?
I always felt it was a must.
Was I loving and sharing, there
at the drop of a hat?
A homer did I hit, when up at life to bat.
I tried to not be a user and a taker
My aim was to please my
I haven't much to leave,
Except what I believe.
Please when I pass no one is to cry!!
