November 18, 2020) - Phyllis Jean "Snooks" Kanyuh passed away peacefully
at home on November 15, 2020.
Phyllis was born on November 24,
1940 and raised in Salt Lick, Kentucky, but lived her life between the
Chicago area and Iron Mountain.
She is survived by her devoted
husband, Bob Kanyuh; daughters Tammy (Jimmy) Ayotte of Belleair Bluffs,
Florida, and Tonya Kanyuh (& fiance Gregg) of Port Washington,
Wisconsin; Grandsons Colt, Clinton, and Cooper Collins of Iron Mountain;
Great-Granddaughter, Cali Sue Collins of Iron Mountain; Sister Betty
Click of Morehead, Kentucky; and special niece Lisa (Sam) Trebilcock of
She truly loved all of her nieces, nephews,
extended family, and loved ones, along with her "Old Kentucky Home"
family and friends, where she will be laid to rest at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Myrtle Click, and
her infant brothers, Jackie and Tommy, of Salt Lick, Kentucky.
Snooks was a beautiful, generous, sharp witted, southern belle, known as
the "Classy Lassy" to her husband of 61 years, Bob. Aside from her
family, she enjoyed quilting and gardening. She will be sadly missed and
leaves a hole in the hearts of all of us that loved her.
