Margaret A. “Marge” Zeeb, age 100, of Crystal Falls, formerly of
Kingsford, passed away from the Covid virus on Saturday, November
13, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
Marge was born February 10, 1921, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, daughter of the late Daniel and Louise (Turcotte) Stafford. At a young age, they moved to Kingsford, where she attended school. In 1941, her family moved to Detroit, and resided there until 1946. After the war, in 1946, Margaret married Frances Gale Zeeb, in Kingsford. Shortly after being married; they moved to Gaastra, where they owned and operated a gas station for 34 years. During that time, she also worked as a waitress at Balducci’s Supper Club in Gaastra. In 1983 they moved back to Kingsford. Frances preceded Marge in death in 1988.
Marge enjoyed drawing, cooking, gardening, and especially the time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, James Zeeb of Sun City, Arizona, Duane (Annette) Zeeb of Pensacola, Florida, and Curtis (Charng Huey) Zeeb of Sun City, Arizona; one brother, Robert (Dottie) Stafford of Iron River; one sister, Rose (Ralph) Trepasso of Farmington, Missouri; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Frances, Marge is preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Raymond, William (Sally), and Edward Stafford.
In accordance with Marge’s wishes, private family services will be held.
