13, 2020) - Janice M. Champeau, age 77, of Kingsford, passed away on
Tuesday, November 10th at U.P. Health System - Marquette.
Janice
was born on July 9, 1943 in Escanaba, daughter of the late Edmond and
Agnes (Davis) Cretens. She married her husband Edward Champeau on April
6, 1963. They were residents of Milwaukee from 1965 until retiring to
the Iron Mountain area in 2001.
Janice was a founding member of
the Journey House which is a community center in Milwaukee. She enjoyed
trips to the casino as well as playing bingo, poker and doing crafts.
Janice also loved her collection of dolls and bears.
In addition
to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband Edward on
January 16, 2007, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by
her children, Edmund (Heidi) Cretens of Marinette, Tammy (William)
Morris of Kingsford and Danny (Erin) Champeau of Menominee; Twelve
grandchildren, Michelle Champeau, Tracy (Devin) Speakman, Edmund Cretens,
Andrew (Sabrina) Cretens, William (Gina) Chamberlain, Tyrus Cretens,
Edward "David" Cretens, Nicole (Jamie) Bailey, Samantha Champeau, Thomas
Champeau, Matthew Champeau and Peter Champeau; Ten Great Grandchildren.
Private services are being held. Pastor Stephen Lehmann will
officiate.
Graveside services will be held on July 9, 2021 at
Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Escanaba and will be announced.
