Books added to Dickinson County Library to
honor the life of Mary Khoury
(Thursday - November 11, 2021) - The following adult non-fiction books have been added to the Dickinson County Library's collection to honor and remember the life of Mary Khoury: “Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know” by Adam Grant; “Ripe Figs: Recipes and Stories from Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus” by Yasmin Khan; “Mouneh: Preserving Foods for the Lebanese Pantry” by Barbara Abdeni Massaad; and “Experimentation Works: The Surprising Power of Business Experiments” by Stefan H. Thomke.

Included are two cookbooks, as Khoury loved cooking for her family and friends and shared recipes and methods handed down from her Lebanese grandmother and mother. This collection will be on display November 15-21 at the Main Branch. Anyone who would like to reserve one of these books for checkout may inquire in person at the circulation desk; call the Main Branch at 906-774-1218; or place a hold through the online card catalog by going to the library’s website at, clicking the “About Us” tab, and clicking the “Memorial Funds” page.

Books in this year’s Mary Khoury Memorial Fund, pictured above, will be on display at the Dickinson County Library’s Main Branch from Monday, November 15 through Sunday, November 21.
