(Friday - November 06, 2020) - Della M. Rochon, age 69, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Thursday, November 5, after battling a long time lung disease followed by Covid-19, at Dickinson Co. Memorial Hospital.

Della was born June 22, 1951 in Crystal Falls, the daughter of the late Oliver and Catherine (Doto) Hannula. She graduated from Florence High School in 1969.

Della worked at Grede Foundry in Kingsford for 36 years and retired in 2009. She enjoyed motorcycling with her husband and friends, Jim, Carol, Robin and Ron. Della loved spending time with her grandchildren and her special bright spot was her great granddaughter, Joanna.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ronald Rochon and son Ryan (Kimberlee) Lewis; nine grandchildren, Nia and Nikomi Lewis and Phoenix Snowden of Mount Pleasant, Ryan Rain, Huron Hugh, and Felicia Lewis of Ontonogan, Evelin Little, Arizona, Shelly Rochon of Kingsford, Cassidy Menard of Norway; and one great granddaughter, Joanna Della Miller of Mount Pleasant, three sisters Sherry Lindlbauer of Iron Mountain, Donna Hannula of Tyler, Texas, and Gail (Frank) O'Neal of Pensacola, Florida; four brothers, Bradley Hannula of Norway, Brian Hannula of Oregon, Steve (Diane) Hannula of Spokane, Washington, and Gordon (Mary) Hannula of Iron River; brother and sisters-in-law, Gary and Ann Rochon of Iron Mountain, Jason Rochon of Norway, and Lisa Rochon of Norway; many nieces and nephews.

Della was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Jennie Rochon, brothers-in-law Bob Rochon, and Ronald Lindlbauer, and sister-in-law Marlene Miller.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain at a later date.

Interment will be held at the Norway Cemetery.
