November 04, 2020) - Marjorie Meiner, age 89, of Norway, passed away on
Monday, November 2, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Marjorie was born June 21, 1931 in Norway, the daughter of the late Emil
and Josephine (Tavernini) Hoheisel. She graduated from Norway High
School in 1949 and started working at Asselin’s Creamery in Norway. She
married Ralph Meiner on September 13, 1952 in St. Mary’s Church in
Norway.
Marjorie is a life long member of St. Mary’s Church, a
gardener, enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and was an avid Packers
fan. She was most happy at home with her husband, and with visits from
her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and
friends.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years Ralph;
children Alfred Meiner of Kingsford, Stephen (Cindy) Meiner of
Waterford, Jean Meiner of Dexter, Michael (Karen) Meiner of Ray
Township, Thomas (Julie) Meiner of Orlando, Florida and James (Nancy)
Meiner of Indianapolis, Indiana; 13 grandchildren Benjamin (Melissa)
Meiner, Elise (Caleb) Hallsten, Shannon (Daniel) Anderson, Rachel Meiner,
Amanda (Jason) Goley, Nicole Meiner, Nathan (Emily) Meiner, Kristin
(Joseph English) Meiner, Evan (Riley) Meiner, Leah, Josiah, Samuel and
David Meiner; 10 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Mary) Hoheisel of
Norway; sisters-in-law Eleanor LeBoeuf and Patricia Meiner both of
Powers; many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death
by her sister Marlea Bray and brother Jerome Hoheisel.
A private
family Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Barbara's Church
in Vulcan with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis presiding.
Interment will take
place at Riverside Cemetery in Faithorn.
