(Monday - November 02, 2020) - Suzanne Marie Richtig Mattia, age 75, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Saturday, October 31, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Suzanne was born on August 26, 1945 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Christ and Clarice (Isaacson) Richtig. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1963. After graduation, she furthered her education at The Accredited School of Beauty Culture in Green Bay, graduating in May of 1964. Suzanne married Louie Mattia on September 4, 1970 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain.

Suzanne was not only a respected beautician, but was also a very creative and talented artist. She and Louie spent many years traveling during their weekends to craft shows all over the lower peninsula of Michigan to sell her beautifully painted wood creations. Suzanne additionally rescued many pets over the years and had a huge calling for helping any animal in need.

She is survived by; one brother, Jack (Pat) Richtig of Norway; a niece, Clarissa (Francis) Wall of Denmark and their son, Jack.

In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louie Mattia, and her mother and father-in-law, Frank and Marie (Ballone) Mattia.

At Suzanne's request, there will be no services. Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
