Mary Ann Van Ginkel, age 81, of Niagara, passed away on Tuesday, October
27, at Florence Health Services in Florence.
Mary Ann was born
October 17, 1939, in Niagara, daughter of the late Hobert "Doc" and Edna
(Staufer) LaGest. She was a lifelong resident of Niagara and a graduate
of Niagara High School. On June 29, 1957, Mary Ann married Dale Van
Ginkel at Mission Chapel in Niagara. He preceded her in death on January
4, 2009. She worked as a health care provider for the Oscar G. Johnson
VA Medical Center.
Mary Ann is survived by three sons, Charles
(Julie) Van Ginkel of Spread Eagle, Kevin D. (Christina) Van Ginkel and
Timothy (Melinda) Van Ginkel, both of Niagara; seven grandchildren,
Kevin R. Van Ginkel, Becky Van Ginkel, Cody Van Ginkel, Bradley Van
Ginkel, Bailey Van Ginkel, Desie Van Ginkel and Eric Van Ginkel; and 19
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Dale,
Mary Ann was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rhonda Rae, and by
one brother, Milton LaGest.
In accordance with Mary Ann's wishes,
private family services will be held.
