(Saturday - October 24, 2020) - Paula Jean Lacy, age 67, of Crystal Falls passed away on Thursday, October 22, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara.

Paula was born November 8, 1952, in Ashland, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Aldine and Adeline (Carlson) Craft. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1971 and was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended Bay de Noc Community College and obtained a Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in 1979 and later obtained her Associate Degree as a Registered Nurse in 1999. Paula worked 21 years as a nurse at the Crystal Falls Community Hospital until its closure in 2000. The latter part of her career was spent at the Iron County Medical Care Facility as a MDS Nurse until her retirement in 2015. Paula's passion was nursing, and she made everlasting bonds with patients, co-workers, and doctors over the years, maintaining close relationships with her co-workers through the 21 years at Crystal Falls Hospital, as well as her co-workers at Iron County Medical Care Facility. Most importantly, she took great pride in her profession and was known for her love and compassion for her patients.

Paula is survived by her two sons, Cy (Mary) Lacy of Kingsford and Chad Lacy of Iron Mountain; her granddaughter, Leia Lacy, with whom she shared an unbreakable relationship; and her one and only sister, Sandra Franklin of Fort Myers, Florida.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
