He was a lifelong member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Niagara where he served as liturgist and was a member of the Dunbar/Trout Haven Bear Hunters Association. He even had a chance to ride along during a bear hunt this year.

In addition to his parents and wife, Marilyn, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy; his brother, Darrell; sister-in-law, Beverly; in-laws, Melody and Dan Butler; and his mother and father-in-law, Buck and Elaine Martin.

He always said, "When I took the grandkids fishing today, the river went down three inches."

"Thanks to the caring Staff of Florence Health Services and all Doctors and Nurses who had Bill in their care."
