(Tuesday - October 06, 2020) - Joanne Aman, age 74, of Kingsford, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, at her home, surrounded by her family.

JoAnne was born February 1, 1946, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Ellsworth and Viola (Miller) Carlson. Joanne was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kingsford schools. On September 3, 1971, in Iron Mountain, she was united in marriage to Gary Aman. Over the years Joanne has enjoyed garage sales, trips to the casino, and especially time spent with her family and friends.

Joanne is survived by one son, Eugene Aman of Iron Mountain; one daughter, Andrea L. (James) Giliberto of Breitung Township; three grandchildren, Amber (Seth Thompson) Hurkmans of Norway, Brandon (Felicia) Aman of Iron Mountain, and Brent Aman of Quinnesec; four great-grandchildren, Trey, Owen, Carson and Keagen; one brother, Donald "Butch" (Eva) Carlson of Kingsford; four sisters, Sue (Fran) Broeders of Hardwood, Donna (Carl) Gunter of Louisiana, Alice (Dave) Querio of Iron Mountain, and Lisa Carlson of Iron Mountain; and her loving ex-husband, Gary Aman, Iron Mountain; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia; one brother, Warren Carlson; one sister, Roxanne Geyer; and one granddaughter, Katelyn Nicole Blagec-Aman.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 13, from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A celebration of Joanne's life will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery in Quinnesec.
