15:44) - Paul "Red" Paupore, age 62, of Kingsford, passed away on
Monday, September 13, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Paul was born October 3, 1958, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Robert and Rita (Elliott) Paupore. He graduated from Kingsford High School in 1977 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Paul married Karen Swanson on September 2, 1978, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. He worked for Bacco Construction for over 43 years as a welder, mechanic and in the office. He enjoyed hunting with Grandpa Elliott, doing woodworking projects with his best friend, Timmy, working on vehicles, and shooting at the rifle range. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially during get togethers and the holidays.
Along with his wife, Karen, Paul is survived by his son, Robert "Buddy" Paupore (Dana Spruce) of Kingsford; a son-in-law, Craig (Erin) Recla; sisters, Josephine Paupore, Jan Romaker, and Laurie (Tim) Teason; a brother-in-law, Tim (Renee) Swanson; three sisters-in-law, Sheryl Strabavy (Gary Steindler), Pam (Dennis) Smart, and Cindi (Brad) Strehlow; grandchildren, Tim Recla, Myles, Mason & Georgia Mundy, Jayce & Arieana Paupore, Raiden Jensen, and Wyatt & Issah Spruce; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Recla; a brother, Robert "Bim" Paupore; and his mother and father-in-law, Carmen and Jim Swanson.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 16, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 at the church. Pastor Geri Hamlen will officiate. (Face coverings will be required to enter the church)
Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery.
