(Tuesday - September 08, 2020) - Ryne P. Stanek,
age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, at his home
in Norway. Ryne was born on December 1, 1989 in Norway, to his doting
mother Susie Stanek. He attended Norway School, where he graduated in
2008.
Ryne was a kind soul, a loving son, and a fiercely loyal
friend. At an early age he discovered a lifelong love for the Chicago
Cubs, NASCAR, and WWE. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge on the three
subjects, and was able to attend his first and only Chicago Cubs game
September of 2019.
Ryne was also passionate about a number of
television shows like NCIS, Friends, and the Chicago Fire/PD/med series.
Ryne enjoyed making people laugh, watching sports on TV (mainly baseball
and the Packers), and spending time with his Mother and their cat,
Allie.
He will be missed by many.
Ryne is survived by his
mother Susie Stanek of Norway; father Paul Stanek of Vulcan; favorite
Aunt and Drill Sargent Connie Secrist of Channing, aunt Martha Smukowski
of Iron Mountain, Sue Raiche of Vulcan and Marie DeGroot of Escanaba;
uncles Jim (Gail) Stanek of Norway, Bill (Laura) Stanek of Kingsford and
Tom (Patricia) Stanek of Antigo, Wisconsin; special friends Heidi and
Steve Schalow and family of Iron Mountain and Karl Hansen of Sault Ste.
Marie; and by numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his
maternal grandparents John and Luella Gattra; uncle Jack Gattra;
paternal grandparents Ted and Ann Stanek; and many other aunts and
uncles.
Family will greet friends on Saturday, September 19 from
10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Quinnesec United Methodist Church in
Quinnesec.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, at 12:00
PM at the Church with Pastor Walter Reichle officiating.
Due to
Covid-19 masks and social distancing will be required in the church.
Interment will be held at a later date in the Norway Township
Cemetery.
The Ortman Funeral Home in Norway is in charge of
arrangements.
