The Iron Mountain City Council has approved
the sale of land to Kwik Trip

(Tuesday - September 07, 2021 - 20:29) - The Iron Mountain City Council on Tuesday evening approved the sale of City-owned property to Kwik Trip, for construction of a gas station/convenience store on the City's Northside.

The sale involves 2.85 acres of City-owned land, located on the West side of Highway US-2n (Stephenson Avenue), adjacent to the Dollar General store. The parcel is a portion the 11 acres formerly occupied by the Khoury Brothers furniture manufacturing plant.

No construction plans have been disclosed at this time. While the sale agreement requires that construction begin no later than October of 2023, construction is expected to begin much sooner.

Sale price for the property is $315,000.
