(September 05, 2020) - Alton V. Wraight, age
79, of Homestead, passed away on Thursday, September 3, at Dickinson
County Memorial Hospital. Alton was born November 18, 1940, in
Wyandotte, Michigan son of the late Vernon and Doris "Maxine" (Higley)
Wraight. He grew up and was raised in Wyandotte and graduated from
Roosevelt High School, class of 1958. He worked all of his life as an
automobile mechanic in both Wyandotte and Adrian, Michigan, and early on
he eventually moved to Romulus, Michigan where he continued as a
mechanic and operated his family farm. In 1992 Alton moved to Carleton,
Michigan where he lived in a farmhouse and continued his hobby. In 2015
he moved to Homestead.
Over the years he enjoyed woodworking,
gardening, flowers, fishing, the outdoors, and time spent with his
family and friends.
He is survived by his special friend and
companion, Arlene Lillo; one son Jerry Wraight of Carleton, Michigan;
one daughter Kelly Oliver also of Carleton; one sister Deanna (Phil), of
Harris, Michigan; four grandchildren, Kylie, Eric, Krystal and Jeremy;
and two cousins, Kathy and Sharon Higley.
In accordance with
Alton's wishes, private family services will be held.
