(September 04, 2020) - Kevin D. Sweet, age 47,
of Kingsford, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, at his home. Kevin
was born on January 13, 1973, in Iron Mountain, son of Karl Sweet and
Clarice (Cuggino) Allen. He was a lifelong resident of the area, working
for Tony Tomczak as a carpenter for 16 years and later for Grede
Foundry. For the past few years he worked at the Super 8 Motel.
Kevin has enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including fishing,
camping, listening to music, and time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Clarice Allen of Norway; two brothers
Karl Sweet, III. of Appleton, Wisconsin and Ivan (Christine) Allen of
Escanaba; two sisters Marie (Kate) Sweet of Rhinelander and Marcella
Clark of Carson City, Michigan; four uncles Frank Soul of Phillips,
Wisconsin, Leon (Kim) Amorelli of Elsworth, Wisconsin, Sam (Kari) Kurtz
of Dresser, Wisconsin, Michael (Beth) Nofsinger of Elroy, Wisconsin, and
Steve (Johanna) Cuggino of Norway; three aunts Elodia (Jeff) Geffers of
Hancock, Wisconsin, Sara Winberry of Florida, and Pam Cuggino of East
Kingsford; one brother-in-law Tim Monroe of Appleton, Wisconsin; one
niece April (Jacob) Crites; four great-nieces Shaylee, Dakota, Savannah
Pollock, and Sofia; his step-father Rick Allen of Iron Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Sweet, II; one uncle Jerry
(Maxine) Cuggino, and one aunt Sheila Soul.
A celebration of
Kevin's Legacy of Life will be announced at a later date.
