(September 01, 2020) - Beverly Ann O'Dette, age
77, of Kingsford, passed away Monday, August 31, at her home. Beverly
was born on December 25, 1942, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of William
and Eleanor (Massa) Michaud. She graduated from Iron Mountain High
School in 1961 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Bev married
Gerald "Jerry" O'Dette on March 8, 1974 at the Trinity United Methodist
Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2016. Bev
worked in the Econo Foods Bakery for over 20 years. She enjoyed camping,
taking a dream trip to Alaska with Jerry, and most importantly, time
with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by
her two daughters, Michelle (Steve) Coughlin of Kingsford and Danelle
(Dan) Kelly of Vulcan; a step-son, Larry (Jean) O'Dette of Breitung
Township; a step-daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Eckhardt of Appleton; two
sisters, Dianne Cattelan and Barbara Lucas; seven grandchildren, Ryan
O'Dette, Jaimee O'Dette, Jacob Coughlin, Anthony Ruzzicone, Dominic
Ruzzicone, and Kendra and Karsen Kelly; and two great-grandchildren,
Trenton and Braxton Brouilette.
In addition to her husband and
parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Michaud.
Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 3, at St.
Mary Catholic Church in Norway. The funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM
at the church. Father Tim Ekaitis will offer the Mass of Christian
Burial. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
