(Saturday - March 13, 2021) - Edward E. Kowalkowski, age 86, of Kingsford, passed away on Friday, March 12, at Florence Health Services.

Ed was born October 6, 1934, in Goodman, son of Frank and Anna (Pasowicz) Kowalkowski. A hard worker his whole life, he was a logger, working in the woods running heavy equipment, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Stanislaus Kostka Church in Armstrong Creek. Ed was a compassionate man and a loving father.

He is survived by his sons, Tom Kowalkowski of Aurora, Edward Kowalkowski, Jr. of Kingsford, James Kowalkowski of Suamico, Wisconsin, and Steve (Lora) Deherty; a daughter, Nancy (Mike) Dulek of Silver Lake, Wisconsin; his three brothers, Bernard (LaVern) Kowalkowski and Frankie (Janice) Kowalkowski, both of Armstrong Creek, and Patrick Kowalkowski of Goodman; three sisters, Carol (James) Hopkins of Oneida, Wisconsin, Theresa Lockwood of Armstrong Creek, and Kathy Baumgartner of Kewanee, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his special companion for over 30 years, Mary Stec of Goodman.

Along with his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his twin brother, Adolph Kowalkowski.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 17, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Armstrong Creek. Services will follow at 11:00 at the church with Fr. Janusz Romanek officiating. Burial in Armstrong Creek Cemetery will be held at a later date.
