10, 2021) - Sheryl May Normand, age 68, of Norway, passed away on
Tuesday, March 9, at her home.
Sheryl was born on January 8, 1953
in Iron Mountain the daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Marsh)
Venstra. She graduated from Pembine High School as the salutatorian of
her class in 1971. After graduation she started working at Michigan Bell
Telephone Company.
In 1973, Sheryl married James Normand, at
Holy Spirit School in Norway. After working for Michigan Bell and then
AT&T, Sheryl began working for First National Bank of Iron Mountain,
where she retired in 2018.
Sheryl enjoyed her grand dogs, going
to camp with Jim, playing cards and dice with family and friends and was
looking forward to becoming a grandmother.
She is survived by her
husband of 47 years Jim; son Nate (Tori) Normand of Pembine; brother
"Burry" (Ellen) Venstra of Niagara; sisters Vicki (Larry) Anderson of
Colorado, Rhnaye Rhodes of Amberg, Roxi (Dan) DeLaet of Wausaukee;
brothers-in-law Stephen (Kathy) Normand of Tucson, Arizona and Jim
VandenBusch of Lake Linden; sisters-in-law Judith (Jack) St. Juliana of
Norway, and Jeanne Normand of Norway; several nieces and nephews.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her sister Terri Lou Venstra and
sister-in-law Janice VandenBusch.
In accordance with Sheryl's
wishes, private family services will be held; but a public celebration
of her life will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 12:00 PM at Mister
Mom's in Norway.
