(Friday - February 26, 2021) - After a career
spanning 43 years, First National Bank & Trust announces the retirement
of retirement of Sandy Meier, CCBIA, CFIRS. Since 2016, she has been

has been a dedicated employee of First National Bank & Trust for over 40
years," said David Kashian, President & CEO. "With her endless
energy and effort, as well as her vast knowledge of our industry, she
has made significant contributions to the success of this organization.

Sandy Meier
joined First National Bank & Trust in 1977, and is responsible for the
supervision and oversight of Accounting/Deposit Operations. During the
course of her career, Sandy has worked throughout the Bank beginning in
the Accounting Department before transitioning to Assistant Internal
Auditor. Mrs. Meier continued to progress within the Bank to Chief
Internal Auditor, then Assistant Cashier, followed by Assistant Vice
President and Controller, and finally full circle back to the Accounting
Department in her current role as Vice President and Operations Manager.
Mrs. Meier is an Iron Mountain native. She holds two
professional credentials, a Certified Community Bank Internal Auditor (CCBIA)
designation from the ICBA organization, where she trained over the
course of three years in Minneapolis, MN, and a Certified Fiduciary and
Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) designation, with three years of
training and testing by Cannon Financial Institute held at the
University of Notre Dame, IN.
After retirement she plans to
spend more time traveling with her husband, Jim. Driving their RV to
Tennessee to visit grandson Austin and other relatives around the
country are planned. She is looking forward to seeing more of her mom,
Jeanette Granquist, son Christopher Campbell and granddaughter Gatsby,
who reside in Marquette. She will also keep busy as Treasurer for Light
at the Inn homeless shelter and volunteering at church.

enjoyed working at the Bank and being involved in many volunteer
positions supporting our community," said Meier. "I am grateful for the
many lifelong friendships I have here and the wonderful customers I have
met over the years. I feel we truly are the Best Bank!"
