(Wednesday - February 10, 2021) - Thomas Angelo Brynick, age 89, of Kingsford passed away on Tuesday, February 9, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.

Tom was born June 1, 1931, in Iron Mountain, the son of Frank and Mary (Galeazzi) Brynick. He graduated from Kingsford High School in 1950 and married Donna Paquette on October 23, 1954, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a purchasing agent for Wittock Supply. He started his own business, Vulcan Products, and was a founding co-owner of Prime Supply. Over the years he served as a city councilman for Kingsford and as a Boy Scout leader. He was also a pilot and was involved in the Civil Air Patrol and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to camp, four wheeling, riding the side by side, tractor, and snowmobile, and fishing at Way Dam and Canada. He also enjoyed travelling and spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona. He was a member of American Martyrs Church in Kingsford.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna; his two sons, Mark (Sheree) Brynick of Plainwell, Michigan, and Jim (Hedy) Brynick of Iron Mountain; two daughters, Linda (Gregg) Opsahl of Spread Eagle, and Mary Beth (Tom) Inglese of Iron Mountain; a brother, Robert Brynick of Kingsford; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Friday morning, February 12, at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
