(Friday - January 29, 2021) - The long-awaited
refurbishing of Dickinson County Memorial Hospital's Emergency
Department is set to get underway soon, after the hospital's Board of
Trustees approved the awarding of a contract to Miron Construction
Company. The bid amount totals more than $900,000.00.
Miron Construction is headquarter in Neenah,
Wisconsin.
The Board's action came at its regular monthly meeting
yesterday (Thursday)
The project will be completed in three
phases. The construction work will not interfere in any way with the
day-to-day operation of the emergency department.
Miron has
pledged that 70% of the labor personnel will be hired locally.
The project will improve the patient experience in the emergency
department in a number of ways, including a refurbished waiting room
area, and changes in the examination and treatment areas to improve
patient privacy.
No completion date was given for the three-phase
project.
