26, 2021) - Daniel J. Ruohomaki, age 65, of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed
away on Saturday, January 23, at his home.
Dan was born September
11, 1955, in Ellendale, North Dakota, the son of Wilbert "Sully" and
Anita (Malkamaki) Ruohomaki. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School
in 1973 and went on to earn a B.S. Degree in Business Administration
from Central Michigan University. While in high school, Dan worked for
the railroad which he said was his favorite job ever. He served as the
city treasurer in Iron Mountain prior to working in industrial and
manufacturing sales/management. Dan was employed by various companies
over the years, retiring in September of 2020. He was an avid
outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, camping, and going to
camp. He also enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles and playing
cribbage.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Ruohomaki; his
mother, Anita; twin brother, Dean Ruohomaki, and brother, Daryl
Ruohomaki, both of Iron Mountain; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Sully; a brother, David
Ruohomaki, and a sister, Danelle Jones.
Private family services
will be held. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Dan's memory.
