15, 2021) - Cornelis "Dutch" Vander Zeyden, age 81, of Breitung
Township, passed away on Friday, January 1, at Elkhart General Hospital
in Elkhart, Indiana.
Dutch was born September 6, 1939, in
Utrecht, Holland, son of the late Albert and Magdela (VanKreuningen)
Vander Zeyden. He received his Bachelor of Music and Education from
Lakeland College in Sheboygan and went on to receive his master's in
music and education from Vandercook College. He then received his
Specialist Degree in Education from the University of Madison and
further obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Education from LaSalle
University. Dutch was the Superintendent of Pembine School for 12 years.
He married Joyce Swanson on July 25, 1981, in Fumee Creek, in Michigan.
She preceded him in death on October 7, 2020.

"Chrystal") Vander Zeyden of McMinnville Tennessee; and two
In addition to his parents and wife Joyce, Dutch
was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Robert Vander Zeyden.
A graveside service will take place in Pembine Cemetery in Pembine
in the spring.
