07, 2021) - Rosemary Sjoquist, age 82, of Kingsford passed away on
Tuesday, January 5, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Rosemary was born June 1, 1938, in Summum, Illinois, the daughter of
Benjamin and Nelcine (Batterton) Thompson.
Rosemary was a
talented artist who loved to paint. She also loved spending time with
her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald; her son, William
(Sarah) Sjoquist; two daughters, Janet Gurlik and Teresa (James) Schabel;
brothers, Royce (Nancy) Thompson and Randy (Norma) Thompson; sisters,
Marcia (Gene) VanEnkenvort and Linda (Ray) Felhen; grandchildren, Angie,
Andrea, Amanda, Danielle, Benjamin and Adam; and great-grandchildren,
Rose, Blake, Logan, Kaylee and Jennifer.
Along with her parents,
Rosemary was preceded in death by a brother, David Thompson, and a
son-in-law, Roman Gurlik.
Due to COVID restrictions, services
will be held in the spring or summer.
