103-YEAR-OLD ELIZABETH M. PAROLINI, OF NORWAY, FORMERLY
OF LAS VEGAS, PASSED AWAY ON SATURDAY, MARCH 10th AT EVERGREEN MEADOWS IN NORWAY
(Iron Mountain - March 11, 2018) - Elizabeth M. Parolini, 103, of
Norway, formerly of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at
Evergreen Meadows with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jerry Romitti at
Elizabeth was born on Oct. 22, 1914 in Marshfield, Missouri,
the daughter of the late John and Adelina Cologna. She graduated from St. de
Chantal Academy in Springfield, Missouri.
Parolini on May 25, 1940 in Vancouver, B.C. Their early years of raising their
family was in Bremerton, WA, moving to Las Vegas in 1973. In 2007 the couple
moved to this area to be cared for by their daughter Mary and her husband Jerry
Romitti. Elmer preceded Elizabeth in death on Aug. 3, 2009.
Elizabeth was a wardrobe mistress
for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, helping many celebrities though the years.
She will be fondly remembered as “Queen Elizabeth”. She had a strong faith
and was a devout Catholic.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Mary
(Jerry) Romitti, three sons Ken (Rosario) Parolini, Jim Parolini, and Joseph
Parolini, one sister Rose Emma DeVaurs, and one brother Louis Cologna.
Elizabeth’s extended family includes her beloved grandchildren, great
grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Louise Cologna and Margaret Cleary
and one brother John Baptiste Cologna.
Visitation will be on Thursday
from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral
services will follow at 10:00 at the church. Father Janusz Romanek will
celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Deacon Don Christy will concelebrate.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
