JULIE A. LACOST SWORN IN AS JUDGE OF 95-B DISTRICT COURT IN CEREMONY ON
(Iron Mountain - February 24, 2018) - Julie A. LaCost, who has
practiced family law in Dickinson County for the past 23 years, was officially
sworn in as the Judge of the 95-B District Court in a ceremony at the Dickinson
County Courthouse on Friday.
LaCost fills a vacancy created when former
District Judge Christopher Ninomiya was elevated to the position of Circuit
Judge. Ninomiya was appointed by the Governor to replace retiring Circuit Judge
Richard Celello, who retired before the end of his term for reported health
LaCost was appointed to the position by Governor Rick Snyder 2
Since Judge Celello retired in mid term, LaCost will have to seek
election to the post in the November election this year.
