Obituary Report

(Iron Mountain - January 12, 2018) - David "Fidel" George, age 63 of Iron Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.

David was born on July 13, 1954 in Iron Mountain, son of Fadel and Mary (Dowdle) George. He attended the Iron Mountain schools, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1972. He went on to attend Bay de Noc College, graduating Magna Cum Laude with his Associates Degree in Business.

He worked as a Salesman for Border States Electrical Supply for many years. In his early years, David enjoyed working as a bartender at many local establishments, which included Pine Mountain and Dear John's. More than anything he loved to time spent with family and friends. It was the time he cherished most.

David is survived by his loving parents, Fadel and Mary George of Iron Mountain; his sisters, Cynthia Skrumbellos of Peavy Falls, and Jane Qualley (TJ Wilkinson) of Kingsford; nieces and nephews, Audrey Sparapani (Norman Siren), Brett Sparapani, Rhiannon (Thaddeus) Qualley-Harrison, Clayton Qualley, and Natalie Skrumbellos; great niece and great nephews, Whitney, Eli and Lincoln Siren; he is further survived by many additional Family members and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul "Squeak" George on May 8, 2012

At David's request there will be no funeral service.

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
